Luke Henry is a 33 year-old attorney. He was born in New York City and has lived downtown for the last 13 years. He lives on East 4th Street with his wife. They are expecting a boy in August.

Luke attended the University at Albany, graduating in three years with a biology degree. He worked his way through Fordham Law School, where he was the president of the Fordham Law Democrats and the founder and co-president of the Fordham Law American Constitution Society. For the past 6 years, he has litigated a wide-range of issues on behalf of individuals and businesses.

Luke is on the board of Fresh Art, a non-profit that helps New York City artists with special needs, and on an advisory committee of The Women's Venture Fund, a non-profit that helps woman entrepreneurs in urban communities. Luke volunteers with Community Board 3's environmental sub-committee and with the Fourth Arts Block. Luke also does pro bono work on behalf of individuals. He is a member of the City Bar's Environmental Law Committee, the New York State Democratic Lawyers Committee, the East Village Community Coalition, and a number of political organizations, such as the Village Reform Democratic Club, CODA, and Democracy for New York City.

Luke enjoys running, biking, and surfing. Luke ran in the 2005 New York City marathon and is a founding member of the Downtown New York Running Club. He hopes to complete the NYC Century Bike Tour on September 7th and the New York City Marathon on November 2nd.
